With solar power and our own water supply, we like to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible. Whilst there will be sufficient supply for both day and night, we ask our guests to be mindful of these precious natural resources and reduce their usage of power and water wherever possible.
A regional authority under the Queensland government, the Torres Strait Islands consists of over 270 islands clustered between the northern tip of Cape York and Papua New Guinea. Whilst Thursday Island is the commercial hub of the region, Prince of Wales Island is just a short boat trip away.
Packed full of amazing sights which are still mostly undiscovered, there is still lots to do on the island. The beautiful waters are abundant with a diverse range of fish species, many of which can be caught straight off the beach. There are also many paths and trails to access crystal clear swimming holes under cooling waterfalls. If you are feeling energetic, there are some fabulous rocky outcrops to climb for fantastic views over the Strait.
For those with a fascination for Indigenous culture, WWII history, and pearl farming, this region provides a wonderful and uniquely interesting holiday destination. Your host is happy to suggest a number of tours that can be designed specifically for you with door-to-door pick-up by water taxi.
Cost for four guests is $350 per night and any additional guests are $50 per person per night.
A one off cleaning and linen fee is $250.
